Comfort and privacy.  The Hideaway Junior is a newly built 1 bed/1 bath stylish guest house (800 interior sq feet + 500 exterior sq feet) and is located in one of the most quiet neighborhoods of South Oceanside.

This little hidden gem has so much to offer from sunrise to bedtime. 

Explore one of Oceanside’s most notable and beloved landmarks, the Top Gun House where you can try their High-Pie.  The beauty of our coastal sunsets is an attraction to locals and visitors alike so head to the beach with your cameras and blankets to watch and appreciate this beautiful attraction.  Or maybe you want to take a day off from the beach and shop, visit the quaint beach community of Carlsbad, or enjoy a delicious fresh seafood dinner out.

We provide Hotel Collection luxury bedding and luxury towels and a well-stocked kitchen for those cozy nights in.

Hideaway Jr. has a King-size bed for those that have difficulty getting comfortable.  The couch pulls out into a king-size sleeper.  The living room and bedroom have flat screen Roku TVs (Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN included!!).   Has an Indoor / Outdoor living feel as french doors open up to the generous private outdoor patio area.  Guests will enjoy the multiple outdoor seating arrangements, complete with outdoor sofa, lounge seating, fire table, patio heater, umbrellas, BBQ, & separate covered patio table convenient for shade access.  A spacious grassy yard for the kiddos! (shared yard only-see info below). For the beach we provide beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, beach toys, beach coolers, beach wagon, and luxury beach towels.

Walk to Primo Market convenience store and grab some Primo’s BBQ ribs or Carne Asada.  It’s great for last minute snacks and drinks.  Especially if you have little ones.  Walk 1 more block to So. Oceanside Brewing Company taproom.  Best beer in all of SD!  Or Best Pizza & Brew, our go-to pizza place.  Or grab a cup of the newest offerings at Vigilante Coffee house.  There is so much close by!  Walmart and Stater Bros grocery store is less than 2 miles away.  We are 1.5 miles to Oceanside Pier, 1.5 miles to Carlsbad.

The beach communities of Carlsbad, Oceanside, Legoland, California Surf Museum, historic destinations, shops and restaurants are minutes away.

THE SPACE:  The Hideaway Junior is a 1 bed/1 bath Guest House.   Sleeps up to 4.  One bedroom and a full bathroom are located on main floor.  The open concept kitchen/living room are located on main floor.  Full modern style gourmet kitchen with full-size stainless steel fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, a beautiful quartz island, making this the perfect spot for a couple or small family.  Full-size washer and dryer.  Flat screen Smart Roku TVs in the living room and bedroom (Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN included) The kitchen, living room and bedroom have ductless mini splits for perfect temperature control.  This home sits on a beautiful lush landscaped property that it shares with the attached Casa de Kona - Casita (Vrbo # 2084422), which can be rented separately or together as the larger Casa de Kona - Villa (Vrbo # 2084425). The Hideaway Junior can also be rented as a 2bed/2bath if you’d like to bring your extended family (inquire with us). Each unit on this property have their own designated private spaces. When you rent the Hideaway Junior you are renting the Guest House, which has a designated private entrance, private outdoor dining table on your own private outdoor deck w/ lounging area, BBQ, fire table, patio heater.  You will not be sharing your deck, your BBQ, your fire table, or patio heater.  The only shared space is the large yard grassy area that extends out and away from your deck.  2 car maximum.  Street parking only - directly in front of home.

1 - 2 cars max; street parking only directly in front of home. Street sweeping is every 2nd & 4th Monday. Please move your cars accordingly between the hours of 9:00AM - 12:00PM.

QUIET HOURS at Casa de Kona begin at 10PM-10AM. Guest must be willing to comply with South Oceanside's residential noise ordinance laws.  

 

NOTE:  Upon booking, you will instantly receive a booking confirmation from “Casa de Kona Vacation Rentals.”  Please review details for accuracy.  Please use link in your booking confirmation to sign our Rental Agreement.  We MUST receive your signed/initialed Rental Agreement within 12 hours or your booking will be subject to cancellation.  

 

CANCELLATION POLICY:  One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation.  Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 15 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation.  For cancellations made within 15 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
